Outing "Meeting the Shepherd" Ornon - 20.08

Meet the shepherd, it's a day trip, accompanied by Aude, the mid-mountain guide. In the footsteps of thousands of sheep, in the footsteps of shepherdesses and shepherds and their dogs, come and experience a day of calm, well-being and mountain harmony in the Ecrins region! Meet the guide at 8:30 a.m. at the Maison des alpages. Then you will take a pastoral road for 30 minutes to reach the top of the plateau and save yourself the 800m of elevation gain on foot. Once at the top, the mountain is yours! Onward for a 2.5-hour walk, 300m of elevation gain to find Zoé the shepherdess, her sheep and her dogs. Return to the car at 3 p.m. Bring: Vehicle less than 1.90m high with gasoline. Picnic, morning and afternoon snacks, 1.5L of water per person, walking shoes, crampons, walking poles if you wish, sunscreen, hat or cap, windbreaker or warm coat.
